Whangarei Heads is known for its special artistic energy. This energy results in over 50 resident artists living on the peninsula and is believed to be the highest regional concentration of resident artists in New Zealand. Each Easter many of these artists open there homes and studios for the Whangarei Heads Arts Trail. While this is the major art show of the year our artists live here all year round and many of them are happy to show their work by arrangement at any time.
